Aakritti Mehra expresses her desire to collaborate with Arijit Singh: Budding artists like myself look up to the music aficionado he is

Aakritti Mehra is well on her way to become a name in the music industry to reckon bit. With a massive fan following and a huge audience base, she has been a part of popular independent music videos, albums, and has also worked with some well-know Bollywood artists, with Javed Ali being the most recent. The singer has sung Ishq Hua, which features Erica Fernandes and Suraj Jumani, making it the perfect Valentine's Day track with its release on February 10th.
A Dada Saheb Phalke International Award Winner (2020), she has also performed for Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Ayodhya Deepostav. Her performance struck a chord with the lakhs of people present in the crowd as her voice managed to have an impact of its kind.
While she does have an impressive profile she has built for herself, she is looking forward to working with everyone's favourites, Arijit Singh. Elaborating on the same, Aakritti tells us, "I, and many other budding artists like me, look up to the music aficionado that Arijit Singh is, and it would be a dream to work with him, or just share space with him. After my recent collaboration with Javed Ali sir, I don't want to stop just yet and keep working with bigger, popular artists, so that I can further my career and also learn from them."
Ask her who are her favourite singers, and she was quick to name legendary Lata Mangeshkar ji, Shreya Ghoshal, and Jonita Gandhi - each truly a music sensation in their own right.
With quite an interesting profile already, she now also wishes to work on a Bollywood movie. She tells us, "I want to do playback singing for a movie now, as I believe that it is the right route for anyone who wishes to take things to the next level. While there's validation that obviously comes in with singing in films, I also want to explore that side of music as an artist and someone who is in the field of entertainment."
With 3 independent original music videos she released on her YouTube, there's more of it in the works. Interestingly, she also recorded the popular Bhajan in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, which soon became everyone's favourite all through the years it aired.
