Delhi-based startup Cadabra Secure, founded by Pulkit Verma, is disrupting the security industry with its innovative approach.

Cadabra Secure: Disrupting Security Industry with Affordable Rental Solutions

Offering cutting-edge security solutions on rental at affordable prices, the company provides comprehensive services, including the installation of security systems, manned surveillance, and many more. Utilizing AI-driven technology, Cadabra Secure delivers an immersive security experience, actively safeguarding premises and ensuring swift emergency responses.

Pulkit Verma, the visionary behind Cadabra Secure, brings over 12 years of industry expertise, propelling impressive growth and generating 5Cr revenue in the startup's first year. With expansion plans in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur, Cadabra Secure aims to make security accessible to all, revolutionizing protection through innovative rental services. In an exclusive interview, we delve into Verma's company's inspiration, unique offerings, and vision driving its success.

Midday: Let's start by exploring the inspiration behind Cadabra Secure. Can you tell us about the inspiration behind starting Cadabra Secure and your vision for the company?
Pulkit Verma: Cadabra was born before the Covid era, and it was a dream of mine to see if what we were trying to build had any substance. The initial response wasn't overwhelming, but it gave us time to brainstorm further and develop a product that aligned with Cadabra's core principle – Affordability. We now provide reliable, intuitive, and effective security solutions at affordable prices. Our aim is not just to offer generic security camera installations; we're talking about something bigger and better.

Midday: What sets Cadabra Secure apart from traditional security service providers, and how does your Direct-to-Consumer approach benefit individuals and businesses?
Pulkit Verma: Traditional surveillance systems, like CCTV cameras, provide footage after an incident has occurred, offering only proof of the event. Cadabra goes beyond that by adding multiple layers of security. We have our Third-Eye tech, which enables interactive notifications in real-time through calls or WhatsApp messages if any unusual activity is detected. This is achieved through a combination of AI technology and human analysis. Additionally, we enable users to notify civic authorities when needed. It's essential to understand that we offer this level of security to both households and SMEs at the cost of a Farmhouse Pizza.

Midday: So, how does Cadabra Secure address the specific needs of households and businesses, given their distinct requirements?
Pulkit Verma: While both customer segments share basic security needs, the level and hours of operation differ. Businesses often demand more attention and immediate response. To cater to corporate clients, we have established data centers in India, providing additional security layers like e-Record, which allows their security cameras to record at our premises. This feature, not widely seen in the Indian security ecosystem, is tailored to the unique requirements of businesses.

Midday: Can you elaborate on the range of security services you provide, and how do you ensure affordability and accessibility?
Pulkit Verma: Currently, we are focused on surveillance solutions and rental launches for Digital Signages, Biometric Attendance Solutions, and Office IT Infra for SMEs. We are cautious not to expand too quickly. Until we achieve high customer satisfaction, we prefer to keep our offerings simple. However, we are in this for the long run and plan to stay and grow sustainably.

Midday: The integration of AI-driven technology in your security solutions is fascinating. How does this technology enhance the overall security experience for your customers?
Pulkit Verma: AI technology adds another dimension to security. For instance, imagine you're at home, watching a film on Netflix, and the doorbell rings. You open the door to see a firefighter asking for help to extinguish flames on the upper floor. While we hope such situations never occur, having this technology available at an affordable cost is crucial for ensuring safety. We believe in making this technology accessible to everyone.

Midday: Let's talk about your efficient emergency response system. How does Cadabra Secure ensure prompt action in case of a security breach or emergency?
Pulkit Verma: Our emergency response system involves collaboration with civic authorities. We have marked regions as White, Grey, and Black zones in our Virtual City Software. In White City, where local authorities are most active, they respond to emergencies promptly. In Grey City, we have placed our volunteers and captains to respond. In Black City, we handle the response ourselves. We continually work to bridge the gap between government facilities and civic needs.

Midday: Ensuring data privacy and security is critical. How does Cadabra Secure protect its customers' data with data centers in Delhi and Bengaluru?
Pulkit Verma: Our data centers have stringent security measures. Even my phone isn't allowed inside the operation lab. Data transfer is highly secure, ensuring the utmost privacy and protection.

Midday: Cadabra Secure has seen remarkable growth in its early years. What key factors do you attribute to this success?
Pulkit Verma: I believe being an early mover has given us an advantage. Additionally, our idea has substance, and people embraced it. We are growing steadily and are confident about achieving even bigger targets this year.

Midday: What are Cadabra Secure's expansion plans, and which cities can we expect Cadabra to venture into next?
Pulkit Verma: Instead of geographical expansion, we focus on setting up more hubs within Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur to improve delivery efficiency. We aim to have a hub every 10 kilometres to serve our customers better.

Midday: Your past ventures have been diverse. How have your experiences in founding successful ventures influenced your approach to building Cadabra Secure?
Pulkit Verma: Each venture has been different, but I invest only when I'm supremely sure about it. I draw from my diverse experiences to ensure a calculated and successful approach to building Cadabra Secure.

Midday: India faces evolving security threats. How do you envision Cadabra Security's role in contributing to a safer environment for businesses and households in the country?
Pulkit Verma: Cadabra Secure can play a pivotal role in bringing order to India's security landscape. With a receptive and responsive society, a collaborative approach with the government, and more startups with a similar vision, we can contribute to a safer and prosperous India.

Midday: That's a commendable vision. Lastly, as a leader in the security industry, what challenges do you anticipate in the future, and how does Cadabra Secure plan to address them?
Pulkit Verma: I believe the future is bright, given India's technological advancements and infrastructure development. Cadabra Secure aims to put everything together, spread it evenly, and continue to innovate and evolve to stay ahead of any challenges that may arise.

In this exclusive interview, Pulkit Verma, the founder of Cadabra Secure, shed light on the company's unique offerings, its commitment to affordability and innovation, and its vision to contribute to a safer India.
