He is also known as the man behind the script of the movies Naanna Nenu Naa Boyfriends, Nenu Local and Hello Guru Prema Kosame.

He says that writing for films is risky and involves a lot of factors apart from being creative. Prasanna has examined the works of over a thousand writers who wanted to assist him, but he was not convinced by them. For eloquence, one needs to constantly read books in the language. But people have stopped visiting libraries and therefore, have minimal specialisation in Telugu. According to Prasanna Kumar, modern movies are all about satisfying the egos of the cast. Creativity comes second in the priority order. This way cinema is losing its quality and it is simply a power game when it comes to content. Prasanna urges young writers to invest in reading and improve their skills.

As for his achievements, Prasanna Kumar has not only scripted movies but has also penned lyrics of the song Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada. Rumours were spread regarding his directorial debut in collaboration with his colleague and producer Dil Raju. Prasanna’s exceptional work has helped him reach the heights of success where he is identified as a costly writer with two crores remuneration. He has worked as an assistant director for the movies Hello Guru Prema Kosame and Nenu Local. It is heard that the famous Chiranjeevi is making a return with director VV Vinayak. The plot has been written by Prasanna and was approved by Vinayak in a single sitting. He is also working with filmmaker Trinadha Rao Nakkina on the action movie Dhamaka starring Ravi Teja.
