Mashroo organized a 'MAshroo x could be you' contest in Mumbai. The main aim of the competition was to give an opportunity to budding fashion designers to showcase their skills. Also, it aimed at allowing them to begin a professional career in the fashion industry with Mashroo. The competition was open to anyone with a passion for fashion irrespective of their academic background.

The applicants had sent a scanned color copy of their hand sketches of a burkha or Abaya via mail for the selection round. Consequently, the selected entries visited the store for the second round. From those participants, the 'Top 5' contestants were taken to the manufacturing unit of 'Mashroo' through special chauffeurs for the final round.
Lastly, the final contestants presented their designs to a panel of celebrity judges who selected the winner amongst them. All these rounds took place from 10th November to 1st December.
The talented top 5 contestants were Sadiya Shaikh, Savio D'Souza, Jasmin Shaikh, Shiba Khan and Shonal Budhraja. They presented intricate and unique designs. While the judges for the final round were Nilofer Radiowala (a celebrity makeup artist) Moonzarin Darbar and Reshma Shaikh (Influencer and proud Homemaker), Shazia Mulla (Woman Entrepreneur), and Anwar Masani (LCF Alumni ).
This contest gave designers a stage for new talent to create a name for themselves. While the winners earned an opportunity to work with Mashroo Apparels LLP. Also, their name shall be displayed on the main label of a special capsule collection by the store that will give a great start to their career. Moreover, the winner will receive a real diamond pendant. The winning prize partner of the contest was Summera Jewels, a popular e-commerce store for exquisite Jewellery. The event received massive participation and was celebrated with great pomp becoming a benchmark and a model to emulate in the fashion industry
