Rohit Tripathi of UDYAT Foundation: The Stalwart of Philanthropy

There are people who are passionate about a goal, a career or anything personal. But then there are people dedicate their life for a cause to help the weaker sections of the society.

One such individual is Rohit Tripathi, the Founder and Chairperson of Udyat Foundation. He is a management grad and an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical space.


An Indian Non-Profit Organization, founded by Rohit in 2012, addresses the social causes like Health, Education, Environment and Skill Development with 42 more diverse social  objectives. The trust is registered with Niti Aayog and is working since past 9 years without any external financial support, but the dedicated efforts of Mr. Tripathi and his team of staunch committed volunteers.


Rohit gained traction when few of his suggestions gave imminent results. He suggested to install the Trommel machines in the landfill sites of Bhalswa, Okhla and Ghazipur. The segregation of waste was effective and seamless.


Udyat Foundation has been working to develop medicinal plantation through a proper implementation structure in the areas of Delhi and NCR. Medicinal plants are better air purifiers than the general which can help improve the Delhi atmosphere clouded with harmful pollutants leading to different health issues. Since 9 years the work is eventually gaining fruits. On 24th July 2020 Rohit conducted a tree plantation drive of medicinal plants involving various local authorities, Delhi Police Personnel’s, RWA associations and celebrities like Hans Raj Hans, planting 12000 medicinal plants.

There is a plethora of activities conducted by the trust which are in sync with the objectives of the Government. A few of them needs due recognition and they are as follows:

  • Vaccination Drive in Slums

The dream project of Delhi Government, Slum Vaccination Drive was completed by UDYAT Foundation. 1.3 lakh children aged 15 to 17 years were vaccinated in record time of 3 months during the COVID-19 vaccination drive with the unperturbed efforts of Rohit and his team. The efforts were highlighted on the front page of The Times of India. DM Ms. Chesta Yadav appreciated the work saying the vaccination was smoothly conducted. Such activities help the Government to float new schemes with the trust of execution in NGOs like UDYAT.

 

  • Vision Screening Camp.

UDYAT Foundation, with an objective of the Govt. to provide free HealthCare, organised Eye Check-up camp and distributed free eye-glasses without the aide of the Government for Delhi Police. Further with a pledge of 25000 eye check ups in 2 years, Udyat is driving successful camps with various Govt. Organizations & NGOs like Delhi Police, District Magistrate, Delhi Police family Welfare Society, Delhi Women’s commission and many Slum pockets of Delhi and NCR.

 

  • Cancer Screening Camp

Udyat Foundation organized and completed 5 Cancer Screening Camps in Delhi NCR Region with India’s leading Indian Cancer Society made a strong impact in early-stage detection of cancer screening, as early-stage detection is the only way to prevent cancer related deaths.

 

  • Mental Health Development

Rohit being an entrepreneur in the pharmaceutical sector has seen closely how the HIV kids are mentally imbalanced. To create awareness amongst the citizen and help the children to live a respectable life, Udyat Foundation made special arrangements for HIV Kids of Desire Foundation by organising expert session on mental health and soft skills and personality building exercises and celebrated Diwali 2021 and Christmas 2021 with all HIV Kids.

 

  • Leading towards Objectives

Rohit Tripathi led Udyat Foundation pledged to organize 25,000 eye screening individuals in 2021-22 & 2022-23 out of which 3500 already completed with various Govt. & Pvt Organizations like Delhi Govt. District Magistrates, Slum Clusters like Hari Nagar, Janakpuri, Yamuna Khadar, Geeta Colony, Bhalswa, Shalimar Bagh, Shahdara, Uttam Nagar, Dabri, Govind Puri, Delhi Police, Women Commission, Shelter Homes, Delhi Police Family Welfare Society and upcoming projects to cover other states slum clusters, poor and underprivileged people.

 

  • Women Empowerment

Be it Sanitary health awareness & its distribution or fighting for Women’s Rights, UDYAT has always rendered a helping hand to women and cared and nurtured their privileges alike. Govt. Sponsored Schemes, Women Safety, Vaccination, Banking Schemes for the Girls and women’s, Self Help groups related Employment, Basic Education and many such issues are handled on a day to day basis by Rohit and his team.

Udyat has also distributed free sanitary pads for the BPL and slum dwelling women.

 

  • International Women’s Day

On International Women’s Day, 8th March Udyat Foundation collaborated with TATA Power DDL and Just Events organized to organise a session on career counselling, Expert talk on menstrual hygiene, expert talk on balanced diet and nutrition’s at Parag Jyoti School. It was followed by the  distribution of sanitary pads, prize distribution on best out of waste, and a play on Sexual Harassment. The Session saw the attendance of guests of honor like D.M.Ms. Chesta Yadav, Directorate of Education and Lect. Ms. Seema Jha.

 

  • UDYAT Presence in other states

Rohit Tripathi led Udyat Foundation has made considerable presence in the field of Education by enhancing Udyat Foundation Presence in other states like Haryana and Himachal Pradesh by organising multiple basic education programmes for street and slum children and distributed basic education books.

 

Udyat Foundation (www.udyat.org.in)  has been distributing free nutritious foods to slums across Delhi NCR for the past 9 years, with a focus on children aged 5 to 15, where nutritional issues such as protein energy malnutrition (PEM), anaemia, and vitamin A deficiency continue to affect a large proportion of Indian children. Nearly 25% of our population are children and would be youth in near future. Developing their abilities and skills would need continuous supply of physical and mental nutrition which has bee provided by UDYAT.

Mr. Rohit Tripathi, has been judiciously contributing to poor and underprivileged slum clusters, government schools, and other street vendor children for nearly a decade without any funding or CSR support in this noble cause towards the society and is urging established Non-Governmental Organizations, Social Welfare Organizations, CSR Funding agencies, established Corporates, PSU’s, and state and central government to join hands with Udyat Foundation to eradicate poverty.
