MET Gala takes place at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and is organized by Anna Wintour. It is attended by top celebrities. However, little is known beyond this.

While we get to see celebs strut up the iconic Met steps, that`s where our access ends. Once inside, phones are supposed to be off, and there are no reporters allowed. 

That`s why guests have to follow the no-phone (and thus, no social media) rule. However, sometimes, celebs break these rules to give us mortals a glimpse into what happens behind closed doors.

After walking the carpet, celebrities and guests hang out during a cocktail hour and check out the current exhibition, which is `Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion` this year. 

Celebrities settle in for a formal dinner (after they`ve had a chance to explore the exhibits), complete with assigned seating.

This seating arrangement can be quite challenging to organize due to everyone`s inevitable drama.

In 2021, party planner Eaddy Kiernan shared with Vogue that when it comes to arranging seating for the stars, they carefully consider compatibility. 

 Ideally, they pair individuals who they believe will hit it off but might not realize they have much in common. 

They also take into account past seating arrangements and ensure nobody ends up awkwardly facing an ex-flame.

Every year, the Met Gala features at least one extravagant performance, but the night wraps up relatively early, allowing celebrities to switch outfits and attend the after-parties.
