Here's an extract from her interaction with the Big B...
On corruption...
In which country or society does corruption not exist? It is there in every society. We have to ensure if it is being checked or no. We have to check that it is being opposed or no. Whether a legal inquiry is on against the corrupt or no. If all this happens, I am sure corruption will be less.
What does religion mean to you?
No religion teaches us that we have to fight or be angry or lead a violent life. No religion teaches that. Still it happens and this is our weakness. It is human weakness. And it is sad that it happens.
On his brush with politics
I got into politics with good feelings and once I was part of it I realised that feelings don't exist in politics. And there is one more thing ufffd. I don't know the art of politicking!
A lot is being talked about environmental issues. A lot of issues concerning the environment is being taken up. Do you think it is time we spread the urgency of climate control?
There are many issues that we need to be aware about. And if caring and save our environment will benefit not only India dia but the world. But I also have another viewpoint. There is talk of global warming but the maximum amount of pollution is caused by Western nations like the US. And they are the ones who talk the maximum and say care for the environment. First, they should put their own house in order before telling others to put their house in order.
