Satirical drama "Kaun Kitne Paani Mei", starring Kunal Kapoor, Saurabh Shukla and Gulshan Grover, brought down the curtain on the sixth edition of Jagran Film Festival here today.

The film's screening was attended by its cast, "Badlapur" director Sriram Raghavan and actress Divya Dutta, among others at the Siri Fort Auditorium.

Produced by an international NGO, "Kaun Kitney Paani Mein" is a satire on water crisis that wryly expresses the changes in hierarchy, caste and the power equation when water, the most important resource, vanishes and how the oppressed become the oppressors.

Set in the rain-shadow areas of Orissa, the film travels between two villages fighting over a water reservoir, since a couple of decades.

It aims at raising awareness about the impending water crisis and sanitation in India's rural areas where 70 per cent of India's population resides.

Sriram and Divya also attended the screening of "Badlapur" earlier in the evening, while "Piku" writer Juhi Chaturvedi spoke at a session.

The five-day extravaganza showcased more than 100 feature and short films.

There were 20 films in the World Panorama section. The jury included director Hariharan, who serves as the chairman of the jury, Bhatt, editor Srikar Prasad, Narayan and cinematographer Mahesh Aane.

The festival will travel from Delhi to other Indian cities like Kanpur, Lucknow, Allahabad, Varanasi, Agra, Meerut, Dehradun, Hisar, Ludhiana, Patna, Ranchi, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Indore, and Bhopal before culminating in Mumbai.

As the official country focus partner of the Jagran festival, the American Centre screened best of American cinema at its auditorium, simultaneously.
