The Oscars might bring a couple of surprises for Nicole Kidman. For one, she's keeping her fingers crossed about winning the Best Actress for her role in Rabbit Hole. And her daughter Sunday Rose is all set to spring the biggest surprise on her, since this time she's choosing her mummy's dress for the evening. "I just hope I don't end up wearing a tutu," she laughs. She talks to CS about motherhood:
Mom knows best
Motherhood is absolutely miraculous. Being able to give birth to a baby is the biggest miracle ever. I could never have imagined that I would have a child in my forties. I'm in a state of absolute wonder that this is actually my life. Keith (Urban), Sunday Rose, Bella, Conner are my favourite people in the world. The energy of young children in the house is just fantastic.
We are family
Balancing work and family is great fun, though not too easy. Sunday Rose has a very strong opinion on most things. These days, she's busy deciding what I should be wearing to the Oscars. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that her 'pretty dresses' actually turn out to be pretty.
I love spending time with my kids. In fact, I took a break from work after Sunday Rose was born. Things have changed since I became a mother, but I'm more than happy to accommodate all these changes.
Even now, I take Sunday Rose everywhere. Keith and I have this agreement that we won't be away from each other for more than three days. So whenever he's touring on work, we all go along. I'm crazy about kids. We are just one big happy family.
