The mid-day Premiere Nights is a contest that gives its readers an opportunity to watch new Bollywood films with its star cast.
Talking about the film, debutant Brajesh Tiwari says, “I play the good guy with negative shades, who allures an innocent girl to come to Mumbai for job prospects and then exploits her once she reaches the city.”
Rajshri Despande adds that the film talks about how innocent women are taken advantage of. “Our film depicts reality while highlighting the ordeal of a woman whose innocence is exploited by the cruel elements that destroy the beautiful fabric of society, without any remorse for their actions,” she says.
Writer-director Karan Radhakrishna says, “After extensive research on the theme, meeting several women who had gone through a similar journey at some point of their life, I was clear right from the beginning that I will not compromise with the essence of the film for commercial considerations.”
Mumbai Central produced by Ashok Kaul releases today.
