Veteran actor Dev Anand denies director met him for rights to Dum Maro Dum
Dev Anand has denied the claims of director Rohan Sippy that he met the actor and sought his blessings for the rights of the chartbuster Dum Maro Dum from his film Hare Rama Hare Krishna that was produced by Dev Anand's Navketan Films.
Dev Anand said, "I was very upset after learning about it. This is utterly stupid of somebody to garner publicity.

I will never part with my classic films and songs. I have never met Rohan and all his claims are completely false."
Songs like Dum Maro Dum are eternal classics and nobody should play with them to hamper their cult status.
Navketan Films has given some of the most memorable films and songs and I would not like to part ways with them and give it to anybody to spoil it. I am getting the papers ready to file a law suit."
Sippy is making a film titled Dum Maro Dum that reportedly was supposed to include the yesteryear track.
