The Russian National Day celebrations was a gala affair with the creme de la creme of society in attendance. A special musical troupe was flown down from Russia who set the tone of the evening with a scintillating performance.

The crowd enjoyed the rendition of popular yesteryear Bollywood number ‘Jimmy aaja’.
Food critic Rashmi Uday Singh was spotted soaking in the experience especially the fancy Russian costumes and the mouth watering delicacies.
Alexey Novikov, the consul general of Russia welcomed guests amidst the backdrop of the Indian tricolour and the Russian flag. Viveck Shettyy, MD, Indus Communications was in high spirits as well.
The guests gracing the occasion were Penaz Masani with family, Vladimir Dementiev, head, Russian Cultural Centre, Manohar Bothra, director, SBI who had specially flown down from Delhi for the event , Alex O Neil and Captain Vinod Nair.
The party continued till the wee hours and was a memorable experience for all those present.
