Abhishek Bachchan is learning to let go and stop being a stickler. After recently turning casual dresser, he lunched at a highway hotel something he rarely, if ever, does.

The actor was in Ahmedabad yesterday to promote his next release Dum Maaro Dum and treated his team to lunch at a highway hotel a few kilometers away from the city.

The thaali that Abhishek ate

Says a source, "They had almost reached the five-star hotel where the promotions would take place when AB Jr suddenly stopped the car and asked the driver to turn around. Shocked, everyone kept asking him why.

Abhi offered no reply but soon asked the driver to stop outside a thaali restaurant, Gordhan Thaal, along the Ahmedabad highway.

To avoid crowds, he quietly snuck away and picked up the tab for everyone's lunch. All this, despite a lunch already waiting for them at the five-star."

EXCUSED
Apparently, Abhishek's trainer Sam only allows him to have 'healthy food'. "Sam allows him to have Gujarati thaali once in a while. Abhi doesn't have breakfast. He drinks coffee and sometimes has masala bread. He mostly has a light lunch roti-sabzi or soup and bread sticks. He drinks a lot of hot water but doesn't believe in dieting. He eats healthy light food. He eats a lot of yoghurt also and drinks lime water through the day."
