Akshay Kumar and Nikkhil Advani are all set to reunite for another film. The duo has already worked on films like Chandni Chowk To China, Patiala House, and Airlift. Pinkvilla has reported the filmmaker and the actor are collaborating for a period drama set in the '80s. It seems it's raining period films in Bollywood currently.

Taking about the film, a source spoke, "Nikkhil has been planning this film for some time. It's a suave action spy thriller where Akshay plays one of the special agents. The film is completely set in the 80s and will be a period action espionage film." It will be co-produced by Vashu Bhagnani.

Now if you're wondering what the title of the film is, well, it has been given a unique and amusing title. It's called Bell Bottoms, mainly because of the era in which the film is set and because Kumar's character is going to wear them in most of his screen time. The makers feel the moniker completely justifies the narrative. We are already sold on the name.

Just like Holiday and Baby, Bell Bottoms is also going to be an espionage thriller, but unlike the two films, this is a world that existed at least three decades ago. Kumar recently starred in Kesari and the film was a huge success at the box-office. He also did Airlift which still remains one of his most restrained and real films and performances yet.

And what else does he need to give to his fans? He has a comedy coming up called Good Newwz, an action-packed adventure, Sooryavanshi, a horror-comedy called Laxmmi Bomb and another historical drama, Prithviraj. And lastly, he also has another comedy-cum-action drama, Bachchan Pandey. It seems 2020 is going to be another year where he'll steal the thunder from everyone else!
