A source says, "'Dishoom' marks Akshaye's return to the big screen after a four-year hiatus. He wanted it to be talked about, but he is unhappy about not being promoted as promised."
On April 20, hitlist had reported about Akshaye's part in the film being kept under wraps (Read More). It was apparently a deliberate measure in keeping with his image of staying away from the limelight.
The source adds, "Akshaye feels that he should have also been promoted like the other actors."
Akshaye could not be reached for comment while the film's spokesperson did not respond to text messages.
A source close to the actor claims staying out of the publicity campaign is a conscious decision on Akshaye's part. We had also requested him to attend the first trailer launch, but he preferred to keep away."
