Ameesha Patel, who's now in Delhi, is nursing a serious wound to her right foot. She hurt herself while performing at a show on Saturday night.

Says a source close to the actress, "Ameesha was dancing at a show in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh when the mishap took place. A jagged crystal embellishing the shoe on her right foot came loose, and fell inside, a sharp edge eating into her heel, giving her a deep cut. She clenched her teeth, completed her act and didn't even inform the organisers about the accident."

By the time Ameesha left the premises, it was roughly 1 am and she was bleeding profusely from her right foot. "It was too late to call a doctor (not that she knew any in Bareilly). Npw, Ameesha always carries a first-aid box in her car for minor accidents. She and her make-up girl bandaged her foot and made it to the car. She used her perfume as an antiseptic. The drive back to Delhi took six hours and she was in excruciating pain till then."

Ameesha tells us from Delhi, "I hurt my foot but these mishaps are part of life. I have learnt to take them in my stride. I will rest for a day before coming back to Mumbai."
