Superstar Aamir Khan's "Dangal" has given a perfect launchpad to many newcomers including young singers Sarvar and Sartaj, who have crooned the song "Bapu Sehat Ke Liye Tu To Haanikaarak He".
The film has changed the lives of both the children from Barna and Dangri villages of Jaisalmer and they are happy that people now come to click selfies with them.
"Teachers used to scold us when we did not complete the work. But, after they came to know that we sang the song, they now have a soft corner for us," Sarvar and Sartaj told PTI.
"Prior to singing this song, only people in the village knew them but now people from the neighbouring villages come and take selfie with us. People know us with our own names and it really feels good," they added.
Music runs in their blood and both the kids are trying their best to popularise folk art at different platforms.
"We had never imagined that we will get such a platform. We gave audition following which we are selected and got trained for singing the song," said Sarvar.
Earlier, Mamme Khan, Kutle Khan, Swaroop Khan and other folk artists have given their voice in the Bollywood industry.
