Trade sources suggest Baaghi has done exceptionally well in smaller centres and the business in bigger cities/ metros is also picking up. "While mixed reviews affected its growth marginally on Saturday, the strong word-of-mouth buzz helped it bounce back the next day. Considering its formidable three-day collection, the film has already proved to be a hit," says trade guru Amod Mehra.
In the first two days, Baaghi crossed the opening weekend numbers of 'Heropanti' (2014) — Tiger and Sabbir's first film together. "By the end of Sunday, it had also surpassed the entire week one business of 'Heropanti'. It is now the third highest opener of 2016 after 'Fan' (Rs 52.35 crore) and 'Airlift' (Rs 44.3 crore) and is also doing very well overseas," trade analyst Taran Adarsh avers.
