Aamir Khan's 'Dangal' has crossed the Rs 100-crore mark in just three days much like Salman Khan's 'Sultan', which also had wrestling as its setting."
After collecting Rs 29.78 crore and Rs 34.82 crore on Friday and Saturday respectively, the film witnessed a huge jump in business on Sunday — Rs 42.35 crore. It also made a record for single day collection.
Three day collection of 'Dangal' now stands at Rs 106.95 crore, surpassing Sultan's three-day figures by Rs 1.42 crore.
'Dangal' became the fifth Aamir movie to cross Rs 100 crore, after 'Ghajini', '3 Idiots', 'Dhoom 3' and 'pk'. However, it is to be seen whether the film will become 2016's top grosser.
'Dangal' is based on the real life story of wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat and his daughters, Geeta and Babita.
