Break ke baad

After a long absence, actor Sanjay Kapoor is once again busy shooting for a film based on Mumbai's underworld. Last seen in Vivek Oberoi's Prince, Sanjay has been busy with his production company. CS caught up with him for a small chat:

After a sabbatical
I wasn't getting any interesting offers, and didn't see the point in doing films that didn't excite me. Simultaneously, I was busy with production and writing. What I liked about this film was the fact that the story is inspired by a real life incident. And I am playing the main protagonist, which means that I can really dig into the character.u00a0

Filmy chat
I have been in the production business for the last 17-18 years, so producing films comes very naturally to me. The multiplex era has opened up a lot of avenues for actors, directors as well as producers. Today, you can make a film in a shoestring budget only to cater to a certain crowd. But the big budget Bollywood entertainers will always be money pullers due to their mass appeal.

Well done, bro
Of course, the entire family is very proud of Anil (Kapoor). In fact, he has done the entire industry proud with Slumdog Millionaire. He has been doing some great work abroad, which is heart-warming to see for an Indian mainstream hero. We are all looking forward to his next with Tom Cruise.
