Govinda has changed his mind about reporting on the sets of Mani Ratnam's Raavan, which is presently being shot in Ooty. The actor was needed for the schedule and had confirmed his dates but now has informed the director that he won't be available for shooting till September.
The problem is, the schedule was to wrap this month. It is believed that the actor has been advised by his pandit not to leave town till after the eleven days of Ganesh Chaturthi are over, therefore he won't be leaving for Ooty.
Cut short
A source from the unit reveals, "Ravaan team has been shooting in Ooty over a ten days now. The shooting is underway with the principal cast, while Govinda and Nikhil Dwivedi wereu00a0 to join them fly to Ooty on August 10. They were later informed that the shoot has been postponed by a day. However, Govinda has made it clear that he can't make it to the shooting till after Ganpati Visarjan."The source continues, "Govinda was required for a week to finish his scenes. But since the actor is unavailable, the schedule has been cut short. "
Wasn't called
Nikhil and Ravi Kissen, had some scenes to be shot with Govinda, but because of his absence, other scenes where Chi Chi is not needed are being finished for now. Govinda says, "I haven't been called as yet. Will only leave when I get a call from the unit." When quizzed him about not turning up because of Ganpati he says, "Don't create confusion. I simply haven't received a call for the shoot and will be there as and when required."
