DVDs of Vikram Bhatt's Phirr already out, even before its release!

Even though Vikram Bhatt's Phirr, directed by Girish Dhamija is yet to release, pirated DVDs of the romantic thriller are out in the market.

Bhatt's ASA Production folk were shocked when told that DVDs carrying the poster of the movie have been spotted at some stalls selling pirated stuff.

Bhatt remained unavailable for comment. His spokesperson maintains, "We have been informed that Phirr's pirated DVDs are out. Initially, we were extremely concerned and got hold of some of the copies immediately. But we realised that they had only used the poster of the film as the DVDs had an English film."

Says a source, "The film's poster and first look was released some time back. Someone has downloaded it from the internet and used them as covers."

The source adds, "They are maintaining it is an English film, as it will badly hit the film's sales in the overseas market. Bhatt is keen to release his directorial venture Shaapith starring Aditya Narayan and Shweta Agarwal first to complete his trilogy of horrors after Raaz and 1920. As a result, he had scheduled Phirr for a later date."
Bhatt had shot Phirr lavishly and even hired a luxury liner Ice Maiden for which he paid 6,000 pounds per day for the shoot which was necessary for the climax.
