Things got worse when Varma refused to work with Manoj's then girlfriend (and now wife) Neha (noe Shabana Reza).u00a0 After that, the two guys not only broke up professionally but also fell apart as friends. 
Now after a decade, Ramu and Manoj have opened the lines of communication and have decided to let bygones be bygones. Confirming this Bajpai says, "Yes it's true that we recently had a chat over the phone. I think both of us have sobered down and realised that neither of is getting young. At the end of the day, I am immensely grateful to him and this feeling has always been the same."
Revealing how the ice between the two broke he adds, "I was shooting for Rajneeti and I got an SMS from Ramu. Instead of replying, I just dialled his number and called him back. It felt good to talk after a long time. We have now decided to meet up when possible."
So is the possibility of being in a Ramu film a close reality ? "I can't comment on that. Working with him is something that's secondary, but starting off fresh and being friends again is very important for me. Despite the bad blood we shared, I have some fantastic memories with him."
Manoj's next release is Rajneeti and he's also shooting for a Telugu film. "I've had a good year with both my roles in Acid Factory and Jail being talked about. It's a great feeling to receive messages from friends appreciating my work, and I definitely want to do better films and not let them down."
Ramu is mending bridges
Looks like Ramu is on a patch-up spree. Apart from Manoj, the director also set everything right between him and Ajay Devgn.u00a0 Two months back, he met Ajay on the sets of his film and cleared the differences between them. The two have even decided to work again in the future.
