Govinda waives his fees so Naughty@40 can see the light of day
Govinda has waived his fees for his long in the making film Naughty@40. The comic caper had been delayed due to casting and production issues for over two years. The actor is now keen that the project see the light of day.
He had accepted the signing amount as a token, but he has foregone all other later remunerations.
Directed by Jagmohan Mundra and produced by Anuj Sharma, the movie is finally slated to release February-end.

Confirms Sharma, "Govinda went out of his way at every stage to ensure that the shooting was completed. He is now taking an interest in the post-production as well. He has taken upon himself the onus to ensure the film gets a theatrical release. Thanks to his interest, the project's on track."
Naughty@40 began with a long schedule in London after which it found itself facing production and casting issues resulting in the shooting coming to a standstill.
Initially, Ayesha Takia was signed to star opposite Govinda but as she was planning to get married, she opted out. Mundra was then keen to pencil in Amrita Rao, but the actress did not evince any interest. Eventually, Yuvika Chaudhry stepped into the role.
The film, which also stars Sayali Bhagat, is about a 40-year-old virgin (essayed by Govinda) who arrives from London to India to find a partner before it is too late.
"Govinda lost a lot of weight for the shoot and even coloured his hair to suit his screen persona. Apart from London, we also shot in Manali. He recently saw the film and loved the way it shaped up. He is looking forward to its release now," adds Sharma.
