Maybe because this time he was visiting the country with friends. He tells CS about all the fun he had:

A different view

We went boating on the Chao Praya River and the view was terrific. We could see the bustling markets of Bangkok as well as the lovely countryside. We also visited a beautiful and peaceful shrine of Buddha.

The gold coated statues were impressive. But the highlight of my trip was the ride in a tuk tuk (the local rickshaw).

I think I had seen one in a James Bond chase sequence. I jammed with the local musicians who played at a night club and ended up singing a lot of English numbers.

'I want to break free' was a huge hit in that club!u00a0 I also played the drums for the band that night.

Counting chickens...

The food in Bangkok is really tasty, be it at a roadside joint or a five star! I ate a lot of chicken with green curry and chicken preparations with a variety of local spices. I stayed away from the reptiles and insects though I didn't want to get that adventurous!
