I was told that girls should want to rip off my clothes: Ranveer

It is well known in B-Town that Sanjay Leela Bhansali is a taskmaster. His latest obsession is to make Ranveer Singh, the hero of his upcoming film, to hit the gym with a vengeance. “Mr Bhansali’s brief to me was that I have to look hot girls should either want to rip my clothes off or rip their clothes off when they see me,” says Ranveer.

He adds, “When I asked in which scene I have to look hot, he said you have to look hot throughout the film. I can at any given point ask you to remove your shirt or wear sleeveless t-shirt etc. I even have to get a tan every now and then for my look in the film.”

Turns out Ranveer loved the body that Hrithik Roshan developed for his superhero film. “I was told it was Kris Gethin who helped him. And when I spoke to him, he said he was busy and recommended his friend Lloyd Stevens to me. It is only because of him that I have been able to achieve a physique like this in relatively less time,” points out Ranveer.

His trainer Lloyd sums up, “Working out is fun, but it is the diet that you have to be watchful about. For the kind of body that we are looking for Ranveer, he has to eat every three hours and cannot afford to miss even one meal. He has to eat at the right time. He is on a high protein and low carb diet, so he can eat a lot of chicken, tuna, turkey basa, green veggies and sweet potato .”

Sets in preparation
True to his filmmaking style, Sanjay Leela Bhansali has made a huge elaborate set at Film City for his film. The set resembles a small town in Gujarat. Interestingly, Bhansali’s last films Devdas and Saawariya also had such sets.u00a0
