Ayesha Takia has spoken out against the action of MNS MLAs who bashed up her father-in-law Abu Azmi for taking his ministerial oath in Hindi on a social networking site.

Expressing her loathing, she says, "I am shocked and disgusted by the behavior of Raj Thackeray and his people.

How can we ever feel safe in a place where gooundas are allowed to behave as they please? This is a cosmopolitan place and we should all be able to live peacefully together.

We live in love and respect each other irrespective of caste and language, so why are goondas like Raj Thackeray and his cronies are allowed to break and kill our peace? My grandfather was Marathi and my granny British. My father is Gujarati and my husband Muslim.

Our other leaders including the chief minister and other parties must unite and kick out Raj Thackeray and MNS and the law must take action.
