Back with a bang
I am glad I batted well in the IPL. My bowling was pretty accurate, and I was able to swing the ball on both sides, which is a great sign. But I wished I had taken some more wickets. Returning to competitive cricket after a long injury is tough. But, I must thank BCCI for their support; they sent me on an excellent rehab programme in Australia. And my family is always a source of strength. You need a great amount of determination, patience and hard work to make a successful comeback. Also, we have a great captain in Viru (Virender Sehwag). We'll come back strongly next season.

Needless to say, I am very happy and proud for Yusuf. There is no rivalry between us. I loved Yusuf's batting in a couple of matches; it was his 79-ball century against New Zealand in Bangalore, and his 59 runs against South Africa that won us the match. He is a great inspiration. While cricket is an inseparable part of our household, we don't discuss the game at home. Yusuf is an animal lover, and he only talks about his cats, horses, parrots, goats, sheep, buffaloes, dogs and so on. We have a farmhouse near Baroda where he spends most of his free time.

If girls find me cute then I must thank my mom as I have inherited her looks. I am scared of going on stage at events after a female fan tried to kiss me in Kolkata (laughs out loud). But honestly, I am lucky to get so much love and respect. It's the fans who make you a star.
