During her very short career in Bollywood, Jiah made many headlines outside the scope of her films. While some were of personal nature, the others dealt a big blow to her professional life
Who’s that girl?
The entire media had waited with bated breath to know more about the little-known 18-year-old leading lady opposite Amitabh Bachchan in Nishabd. It was her first moments under the sun when she was officially introduced during a press conference at a suburban hotel.

The Aamir connection
Early on in her career, there were even rumours of Jiah being Aamir Khan’s half-sister, as her mother was linked to the star’s father Tahir Hussain. However, the buzz was later denied by Jiah.
Her big ticket
After news about her being roped in for Ghajini surfaced, it was widely assumed she would be paired opposite Aamir in the film. However, it was later revealed that she would be instead playing another role in the Aamir-Asin starrer. With Ghajini becoming a blockbuster, the film boosted Jiah’s career.
Bowled out
In what could be termed as a fatal blow to her career, Jiah was ousted from Chance Pe Dance after she already finished shooting 50 per cent of the film. No one knows the actual reason behind her ouster but she was replaced overnight with Genelia D’Souza.
Missing in action
The actress also had her fair share of romantic link-ups. Soon after she appeared in Sajid Khan’s Housefull, she disappeared from the scene. While some speculated that she had moved on to South cinema, there were rumours she had gone back to London.
Tying the knot?
It took the industry by surprise when rumours surfaced that Jiah had married an older and affluent man. However, a year ago the actress denied the buzz.
The boys in her life
The actress was earlier linked to Jaspreet Walia, brother of producer Bunty Walia and then to Aditya Panscholi’s son Sooraj.u00a0
