Filmmaker Hariharan leads the panel along with Pooja Bhatt, Mahesh Aney, Udit Narayan and A Sreekar Prasad
With buzz building around the Mumbai edition of the 6th Jagran Film Festival (JFF), which kicks off on September 28 at Fun Cinemas, Andheri, the jury has been announced. And it's a heady mix of filmmakers, music maestros, cinematography experts and film editing veterans, which will select the winners in the 'Indian showcase' category.

The jury includes Malayalam cinema icon Hariharan as the chairman of the jury along with seasoned Bollywood filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, actor Kunal Kapoor, music sensation Udit Narayan, ace ad-director and cinematographer Mahesh Aney and renowned film editor A Sreekar Prasad.
Hariharan and Shaji N Karun, two iconic directors will head the jury at the 6th Jagran Film Festival (September 28 to October 4) besides the Indian Showcase and Jagran Shorts jury respectively. The former has 60 feature films in his kitty over the past four decades and has won three National Film Awards and several State Awards. On the other hand, Karun is well known for his debut directorial, Piravi (1988) which won the Caméra d'Or - Mention d'honneur at the Cannes Film Festival, 1989.
The Indian Showcase jury will judge 16 awards in categories like Best Feature Film, Best Film Director, Best Debut Director, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Male and Female Singers, Best Music Director, Best Screenplay and Best Cinematographer among a host of other awards.
The Jagran Shorts will be judged by The International Short Film Section (the panel headed by Karun) for the Best Short Film Award. Headed by award-winning noted Indian film director, cinematographer and writer Shaji Karun, the jury includes Iranian actress Mozhgan Taraneh and Bollywood actor Kunal Kapoor.
The third competitive category at the festival is Cinema of the Sellers where the Best Advertising Films and Campaigns will be awarded. The jury includes KV Sridhar, CEO, SapientNitro, Sonal Dabral, Chairman and CEO, DDB Mudra, Ashish Bhasin, Chairman and CEO, South Asia, Dentsu Aegis and Raj Nair, CEO, Madison BMB.
In collaboration with festival partners such as Whistling Woods International, Film Federation of India and Motion Pictures Dist. Association (India) Pvt Ltd, the 2015 edition of this prestigious and highly anticipated film festival is all set to surpass its own benchmark of presenting over 25 workshops and 395 screenings in 15 cities.
