Mario Miranda's artworks, now on T-shirts

Fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh has created a line of T-shirts for men that showcases artworks by legendary illustrator and cartoonist Mario Miranda

Mixing fun with fashion is the cue behind the latest collection by fashion designer Rajesh Pratap Singh as it incorporates the artworks of cartoonist Mario Miranda.

Singh had been inspired by the tongue-in-cheek humour of Miranda since the time he was in college. “Most of our generation has grown up admiring his illustrations. It was exciting to recreate them in contemporary wear for the youth of today as well as for the generation that still cherishes his work,” says Singh.

Singh has worked with Miranda’s published cartoons and the compilation of his works cataloged in his museum in Goa. He created 28 T-shirts for the collection, which will be exclusively available on Myntra.com.

Also, a part of the collection will be T-shirts with prints of music legends like Jim Morrison and Indie band Midival Punditz. Singh tells us that Gaurav Raina of the music group has done the music of each of his fashion shows since their inception.
