Craving for some behind-the-scenes action at the Bangalore Fashion Week? Read on....
If anyone thought Madhur Bhandarkar's movie Fashion was OTT, then you should witness a fashion week to realise that the film was holding a mirror to reality. The Bangalore Fashion Week was high on the agony and the ecstasy of life on the ramp and off it.
u00a0The loudest whispers were about the absence of a well-known designer and choreographer without whom most fashion shows seem rather incomplete. Another story doing the rounds on Saturday morning was about the escapades of a well-known designer who got drunk, stained the posh curtains in the plush room with champagne and wine, threw his mattress outside the door and had a loud party with his pals on the night before! The hotel staff, not amused by his antics, slapped him with a bill of Rs 1 lakh. Interestingly, he is rumoured to have run up a bill of Rs 78,000 on food and alcohol. Shelling out a sum of Rs 1, 78,000 for a night of excess is normal for some folks, we guess.
The careless whispers didn't spare the choreography team either. A topnotch designer was so miffed with the choreography that he couldn't stop cribbing to all and sundry. Tired models, battling fatigue, didn't so much to brighten the after party. That they had to circulate in a packed-to-the-gills hall didn't make things easy for them. To top it all, the buffet ran out of food by 11 pm. Nice recipe to keep us looking reed-thin, what?

"God! Those designs were so tacky. I almost went blind with the colours. It was more like a garden in full bloom."
"Is he butch or b***h???"
"Indian designers just don't know to keep it simple!"
"Models should re-learn to walk the ramp. It was more like a march past."
