The film is being produced by Jimmy Sheirgill and the actor also has a leading role in it. According to Neha, it was “high time” she did a Punjabi flick as the production quality in North India is on an upward swing. “For the first time and for the love of cinema and of course, for the love of Punjab, I signed a Punjabi film four weeks ago. Besides Punjabi cinema is going places.”
The actress feels grateful for Jimmy to have offered her the film. In fact, Tera Mera Ki Rishta in which Jimmy played the leading role is the costliest ever Punjabi film to be made in the country. “He has always been a good friend,” points out the actress.
Elaborating on her role, Neha states, “I’m basically going to play myself; a loud, boisterous girl who believes in romance! Fortunately, language is not going to be a problem as was the case with other vernacular films I’ve done.”u00a0
