Newbie Shraddha Kapoor asks for 1 crore to act in Mohit Suri flick Colors

Her debut flick Teen Patti hasn't even released yet

Mohit Suri was in for quite the shock when Shakti Kapoor's daughter Shraddha who debuts in Teen Patti demanded that she be paid Rs 1 crore to act in the director's next titled Colors.u00a0

Says an industry source, "Suri has been trying to get a new actress for Colors. He saw the promo of Teen Patti and liked Shraddha's appeal in it and approached her father, Shakti, who really liked the script and told his daughter about it. They met with Suri the following day for a proper narration."

The source further adds, "Shraddha too liked the script and told the director that she would like to be a part of the film. But when money was discussed, she quoted Rs 1 crore to sign on. The debutant's logic behind the audacious demand? Her debut flick Teen Patti has Amitabh Bachchan and Sir Ben Kingsley co-starring. She knows that once the movie releases, her career will go places."

Confident that her film will be a box-office hit, she feels she is justified in charging that much. Ever since, Mohit Suri has begun a fresh search for his leading lady. The film is due to go on the floors early next year and will be extensively shot in Australia.

Says Mohit Suri, "I never approached Shraddha for Colors."
