ABC filmmaker obtains permission from Prime Minister's Office to feature PM Narendra Modi's voice from Mann Ki Baat
Documentary filmmaker Ramkumar Shedge's ABC has been in the news given that it revolves around Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign. It was earlier revealed that the film will feature Modi's voice. Now, mid-day has learnt that the team has procured permission from the Prime Minister's office to use his voice recordings from Mann Ki Baat, the radio programme hosted by the PM. Producer Mihir Sudhir Kulkarni says, " The movie is a tribute to the Prime Minister.

We have obtained the necessary permission from the PMO to use his voice recordings from Maan Ki Baat, and clips of his inspirational speeches and videos." Starring Sunny Pawar of Lion fame in the central role and Suniel Shetty in a cameo, the film highlights the importance of education of the girl child.

The producer adds that the Prime Minister's voice takes the narrative ahead as he is an inspiration for the protagonists. " ABC is about a brother whose dream is to educate his sister. Whenever the children face challenges, Modiji's voice serves as the guiding light," he says, adding that the team plans to show the film to Modi once it is complete.

Shetty, who was the first actor to come on board for the project, says, " I did the film because I strongly believe in Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao." The film will release in 14 languages, including Marathi, Tamil, Telugu and Gujarati. " If we don't dub the film in multiple languages, it won't reach the interiors. I wanted the message to spread far and wide."
