Picnic at Pali

If there is anyone who doesn't like loud parties, it is actor Nandita Das. The actor, director spent her New Year's eve at a friend's weekend retreat near Pali with her husband and baby.

Nandita tells CS, "New Year's eve in a city like Mumbai means a lot of noise and traffic.

I like to escape all that. Moreover, we have a small four-month-old baby, so we can't afford to make hectic plans. The beauty of nature is different.

You can breathe in the clean air and hear the chirping of birds, which is rare in Mumbai."

The actor, who was too preoccupied fussing over her little one, told CS that she was happy spending time with her family on her sabbatical.

"Though I am getting acting offers, I want to take it easy at least till my son turns seven months or even may be a year." Well Nandita, parenting is also a tough job!
