Kiran Rao who made her directorial debut with 'Dhobi Ghat' in 2011 says she is least interested in making masala entertainers
"I am not excited towards masala films. I am not drawn towards that genre. I don't know how to write them," Kiran told reporters here.

Kiran said she wanted to make such films that would excite her and also leave an impression in the minds of audience. Kiran said she was looking forward to her actor husband Aamir Khan's upcoming films 'Peekay' and 'Dhoom 3' which she will be watching as an audience for the first time for not being part of it.
"I am looking forward to both the films, especially 'Dhoom 3' because this is the only film in the last seven-eight years that I have not been part of. In rest of the films I was with Aamir in the narration. 'Dhoom 3' will be the first film I will watch as audience," she said.
Kiran is yet to complete scripting her next directorial venture. On the online campaign for the drama film 'Ship of Theseus', she said results of the campaign will help the makers release the film in places other than the five cities where it will be released first.
'Ship of Theseus' is an upcoming film written and directed by Anand Gandhi, and produced by actor Sohum Shah. Kiran saw the film at the Enlighten Films' Naya Film Festival and came on board to present it to Indian audiences with UTV Motion Pictures as the distribution partner. The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on July 19.
Responding to a query, she hailed the online campaign for film promotion, saying such a platform would have helped 'Dhobi Ghat'. Kiran quipped that she did not want Aamir to be part of the campaign for 'Ship of Theseus' as it would have "affected" its prospects.u00a0
