Producer Prernaa Arora speaks of how the late actress Sridevi still had so much left to do

The loss of veteran actress Sridevi has left the entire nation mourning, the grief is evident with the industry people calling off their planned shoots and schedules as their way of condoling the untimely death. Although the 54-year-old breathed her last on Saturday in Dubai at her nephew Mohit Marwah's wedding reception, her mortal remains are yet to be brought back to India, courtesy the post-mortem reports, clearance and other investigations related to the actress' death are being construed.
Many Bollywood actors and even politicians have expressed their grief and passed their condolences to the family. Also, producer Prernaa Arora spoke to us and said she feels as though she's lost a "family member" of hers. "The moment I learned about Sridevi ma'am's demise, my body started to tremble. It is still unbelievable and is the saddest and shocking feeling that she isn't anymore with us."
Recalling her memory with the veteran, she said, "I have been her ardent admirer and I recently met her at my film Padman's screening with Akshay Kumar sir and she was right there speaking to me. She was one of the most beautiful and kind person. I have lost somebody who I love, it's too painful and at such a young age... There's so much she had to still do and I feel really bad for the family at this point. I am heartbroken and speechless."
Prernaa Arora, who has produced many of the blockbuster films in the recent times, expressed her wish of working with the actress. She said that making a film with Sridevi ma'am will always remain an unfulfilled dream.
According to forensic reports, she died due to accidental drowning in a bathtub in her hotel in Dubai, reports gulfnews.com. Sharing the image of the forensic report, the media publication stated that Sridevi, who had traces of alcohol in her blood, lost balance and fell into the bathtub and drowned. Sridevi, 54, died on Saturday night. It was earlier reported that she died due to cardiac arrest, reported IANS.
Born in Sivakasi in Tamil Nadu on August 13, 1963, Sridevi began her career at the age of four in the devotional film Thunaivan. That marked the beginning of a journey in filmdom that saw her work across Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi productions, leading her to become one of the most formidable actresses of the 1980s and 1990s in Bollywood -- in fact, the only female superstar the industry has seen.
