With India giving children the right to elementary education, Priyanka Chopra has decided to be at the forefront of affairs and contribute in whatever which way she can in making the act a success.
"Not preaching, but let's find ways to help make this a reality in whatever way we can. I'm reaching out to the NGO's I support to see how I can contribute," added the 27-year-old.
The Right to Education Act promises 10 broad objectives including free and compulsory education to all children in the 6-14 age group. This means millions of children will now get education at least up to class eight. Currently, in India, nearly 200 million children in the 6-14 age group are in schools while nearly 8.1 million do not go to schools.
