Another recent meetingu00a0 between the United Producer-Distributor Forum (UPDF) and the multiplexes committee didn't go too well. The standoff between the two bodies is still on.
Reveals an industry source, "The core committee of producers and six of the top multiplexes met two days back at a Juhu hotel. Star producers Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan attended and decided to stick to their original revenue-sharing percentage demand (50 per cent) which they said was still non-negotiable."
The source further adds, "At last week's meeting, the multiplexes had agreed to nine of the 10 demands but in the most recent one, they changed their stance on the issue. Until the two parties meet again, multiplexes will still face a drought of movies."
The wait has just got longer for the average multiplex-goer.
