Recently, Arijit had written a public apology to the 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' star asking him to retain a song which he had sung for his upcoming film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. According to the reports, the song 'Jag Ghoomeya' was initially recorded by the 'Tum Hi Ho' singer, but was, however, re-recorded in Rahat's voice.

When asked about this, the singer told reporters, "First of all, I was not aware if anyone had sung it before. I just came, I sung the song and that's it. What happened after that I don't know."

The singer was speaking at the launch of T-Series' new single 'Dillagi'. The song has been composed by Salim-Sulaiman and features Vidyut Jammwal and Huma Qureshi.

The music composer duo has given music for many A-listers. When asked if there is a pressure from stars to make a particular singer croon a track, Salim said they have been "fortunate" not to have any such incidents. "Fortunately we have never faced that pressure, ever. We worked with some amazing filmmakers and directors, who were very open and respectful about our work and they want us to work with whoever we want to," Salim said.

"There is always a wish list, I remember we were working in 'Heroine' and there was a song where Madhur Bhandarkar was very keen that we work with Sunidhi Chauhan," he said. His co-composer Sulaiman said the decision to make a particular singer croon a track is just like that of casting for a film. "When we make music, we make it for films. In a film what happens is you cast. The director casts the actors, cameraman, the DOP (director of photography). In the same way when we make music we cast singers the way the requirement of the song is," he said.

"Usually the director and producer agree with us. When there is a need for a certain casting, we try and achieve that kind of casting," he added.
