Rajesh Khanna, the superstar of the 1970s, is recovering and will be discharged from the hospital in a day or two, said actress and his estranged wife Dimple Kapadia
"He is doing well. He is much better now. He shall be discharged in a day or two," Dimple told IANS.u00a0The 69-year-old was admitted to the Lilavati Hospital here Saturday. u00a0He has not been keeping well for quite some time. On April 20, his manager Ashwin told IANS that the actor had stopped taking food for "three or four days".

But the next day, Rajesh Khanna stepped out of his Bandra bungalow, Aashirvad, to wave at fans. Dimple and son-in-law Akshay Kumar were at his side and said that he was "fine".u00a0In April, the actor was admitted to hospital after he felt uneasy and weak. He was discharged after about three days.
Dimple told IANS that "he is exhausted and a little weak" and that he doesn't have any liver infection.u00a0Rajesh Khanna recently featured in Havell's fan new ad campaign called - Havells Fans Forever.u00a0Fondly called 'Kaka' by his fans, his golden era started with the 1969 blockbuster "Aaradhana" and it was followed by hits like "Do Raaste", "Safar", "Kati Patang" and "Anand".
In 1973, he married Dimple and has two daughters with her - Twinkle and Rinkie. The two separated in 1984 and thereafter lived separately.u00a0Their elder daughter Twinkle is married to Akshay Kumar and Rinki is married to London-based investment banker Samir Saran.u00a0
