The actor couldn't make it back home to bid farewell to his family Ganpati in person
Thanks to his prior commitments in Dubai, Ranbir Kapoor could not make it back home to bid farewell to Ganpati. While it has been a family tradition for the Kapoors to bring the Lord to the RK Studio and give him a warm farewell every year, this time the actor had to say his goodbyes from miles away.

Says a source, “Most of the family members make sure they visit the venue at least once in 10 days. But since this time, Ranbir missed out on the first-day celebrations, we wanted to doubly make sure he would be around for the visarjan.”
Insiders say Ranbir requested director Abhinav Singh Kashyap and the organisers to push the Dubai press conference of his upcoming film, Besharam by a day but in vain. A crewmember says, “We were running on a tight schedule. On the very next day of visarjan we had press meets and all the invites had already been sent out.
Post the Emirates, we are flying to New York as well. So it was not possible to let RK go.” The official spokesperson of the film says, “Yes, due to the hectic promotion schedule, Ranbir could not be part of the visarjan in Mumbai.”u00a0
