Raveena's new innings in B'wood

Looking ravishing in a white outfit, actor Raveena Tandon is still as sexy as her Shehar Ki Ladki days. Gearing up to sizzle in Bollywood once again with a romantic role opposite none other than Amitabh Bachchan in Bbuddah - Hoga Tera Baap, Ravs talks to CS about her new innings:

Big break
I have signed three films that will go on the floor sometime this year. There's also Zoom Straight To The Top and a comedy film. In Bbuddah, I am playing a romantic lead opposite Big B. The film is a romcom and I want to have maximum fun with him (laughs).

I have worked with him in Bade Miyan Chote Miyan as well as Aks. But neither of the films had a romantic angle. I have the greatest respect for him as an actor and a human being. Before my hiatus, I did films like Daman and Satta that had powerful roles. I would like to take off from there, playing roles with substance. I would love to work with directors like Imitiaz Ali, Rajkumar Gupta and Vishal Bharadwaj.

Changing room
The industry has become a lot more professional in the past decade. The concept of PR was non-existent at my time. I never had a PR until recently. It's a lot more comfortable when someone is managing your interviews and media interactions. There are many interesting stories being told on-screen.

I can't ignore the size zero debate that's been a hot topic of discussion lately. I have always believed that one should be healthy and fit. It's fine if you are genetically blessed with a thin body but starving and over-exercising to become size zero is unrealistic. It's okay when you're young but this kind of abuse is bound to show when you cross a certain age. I feel a size eight-ten is fine for an Indian woman. I feel sad when I see 12-16 year olds starving for a perfect figure when they should be eating properly to build their health.

Reality check
It's not like I've been out of work. I would trade the job of a housewife for a nine-to-five job, any time (laughs). People who think that a housewife has no work need a reality check. In fact, a house wife has no time for herself. Her entire day is spent running around the home or the kids. I feel that the Mumbai woman is the biggest heroine on the planet.

She starts her day at 5am, cleans and cooks for the family, sends the kids to school and leaves for an eight hour job. Once she's back home, she again has to cook, clean and teach the kids. And let me tell you that only Indian women are such capable multi-taskers.
