However, insiders say the veteran actress has turned down an offer to be part of the film’s sequel. Rekha was apparently requested to be a part of Ali’s sequel in ‘Rekha in Umrao Jaan 2?’. The actress had won the coveted National Award for her performance in the 1981 film.
