Riteish Deshmukh is in Latur campaigning for his brother Amit. The actor travelled to his native place in a train instead of taking a flight. This was Riteish's first train journey in years. Before boarding the Latur Express, the actor took pictures from his phone and put them up on a social networking site.

Talking about his journey he wrote, "Am really excited after years that am travelling by train to Latur from CST. And no, it's no austerity drive." As a kid, when Riteish took a train to Latur he had to get off at another station and then make a road trip to his town. "Throughout my childhood I traveled Latur-Mumbai, to and fro by train.

But had to get off at a station three hours away and drive as Latur didn't have a station." A source reveals that Deshmukh was very excited about this trip as this was the first time he made a direct journey to his hometown from Mumbai. "Riteish was very particular he didn't want to take the flight. He wanted to experience the joy of travelling back home in the express train."

Getting emotional about his direct journey to his hometown, he wrote, "I was more excited getting off the train at Latur station than I was when I stepped out of the commercial flight at the airport. Finally, after years, a direct train to my home town and a big day for me."
