Director finds himself surrounded by his 'fans' while shooting in Goa
The shooting of Rohit Shetty's Singham remake in Goa was recently held up for a couple of hours by a group of school children who refused to leave till the director posed for pictures and gave them autographs.
Rohit recounts the experience, "I was shooting an intense action sequence on the streets of Panjim with a big crowd when one of my assistant directors came and told me that a bunch of kids had come to meet me.
Apparently they had been waiting two hours and wanted me to meet all of them."
Strangely enough, this didn't happen when Ajay Devgn was shooting a couple of days earlier. Shetty says,
"This is the first time that children have held up my shooting! I had to sign each and every kid's book and take pictures with each of them. There were at least 30 children, so my shooting came to a complete halt!"
Rohit adds, "They were fans of the Golmaal series. It made me realise that I have a kiddie audience too. I felt bad that they were standing in the sun for over two hours. Their patience was amazing."
