You may be forgiven for thinking that these beautiful creations are block-printed. In fact, each detail on the fabric is hand-painted by Tishya Tripathi Shukla.

Based in Lucknow, she is the owner of a year-old small-scale home-run company, Tishyakriti.

From Warli, Phad and Madhubani art to geometric designs, she paints directly on fabrics like cotton silks, Kota and Chanderi to make exquisite designs on sarees, dupattas and stoles.
