Shilpa Shetty was mercilessly trolled for being misinformed, when she recommended George Orwell's Animal Farm as the book that should be included in the syllabus of school-going children. She asserted that it would teach them to care for animals.
The book, which has little to do with loving animals, is a dystopian novel which opens with animal characters fighting for a world free of human oppression.
Later she tweeted, "Whilst I admire the writers of LOTR, Harry Potter & Animal Farm I've "NEVER" read these books(@ the cost of soundin even dumber!)Not my kind. So recommending them to kids is out of the question!"
