Days after diamond merchant Nirav Modi came under the scanner for allegedly cheating a national bank of Rs 280 crore, brand ambassador Sidharth Malhotra is looking to terminate his deal with him. He charmed viewers while proposing to Priyanka Chopra as part of a commercial for Modi last year.

Sources suggest Sid may not work with the brand folk until the charges against the diamond bigwig are dropped. It is said that he doesn't want his reputation to be tampered with. He has an image of being Mr Clean. The Aiyaary actor has featured in only one commercial so far, and was due to shoot for two more.

But under the current scenario, the actor wishes to back out of the projects as soon as possible. Though it will be difficult for him to negotiate his way out of the contract, Sid is clear that he won't resume working in the present scenario.
